Really different feel to things out there now. We have 11cm of snow laying, -2C, powder snow falling and wind has picked up. I've just done a 5 mile journey from my parents (within Covid rules before anyone says anything) and I only just made it back. Drifting is getting quite bad here and the Amber warnings are very much warranted now in this part of the world.

Sounds like the roads round here are very dangerous, both the A127 and A13 are blocked by accidents

Be careful if you’re travelling tonight!

Latest Met Office forecast show snow showers continuing to stream into East Anglia and the SE overnight and Monday

It's not over yet! ❄️

They're not making far enough inland for me

Radar says no, but it is still snowing steadily here with tiny flakes. Not settling though

Still might spin....

Keep the faith

It needs to do a twirl let alone a spin !

fingers crossed for early hours Monday - at least if anything falls it’s gonna be on frozen ground.

About 5cm here on top of the bin lid. Even managed to do a little snowman before it got dark all eyes out to the North Sea now. Some streamers starting up.

I have heard the 127 is shut at Rayleigh weir? My road outside is on the gritting route but nothing has been gritted. Road is iced up, be careful out there especially in the morning.

Pretty much anywhere that has snow falling now will continue to get some for the next 4-5 hours although intensity will come and go

Similar here in Pakefield. Just beneath the powdery snow there was a little melt going on this afternoon. That has all frozen now and another covering of powder snow has hidden the ice. A lethal combination on the roads. Also drifting here...but currently the streamers aren’t reaching us so the snow has finally stopped...around 10cm on my lawn. Looking at the radar...some of those streamers may clip here in an hour or two and overnight. Local schools mostly closing.

Yeah, that’s what I heard too, with Bread and Cheese Hill also being blocked. Good thing it isn’t a normal rush hour out there!

Running the radar from 7-8ish, snow really seems to be fading pretty much just before it hits my patch. I’d imagine Mildenhall way must be having some decent snow?

Well, interestingly our house is on a bus route.  Freezing here and no grit.  I've parked the car at the side of the house as many years ago I saw a bus skid... does make the old ticker move when that bus is heading towards.... Your Car

And by extension, if you haven’t, you won’t.
