Lots of streamer potential growing in the North Sea.

Can’t make my mind up! For a moment I think we are done then suddenly I see that on the radar...

What has happened to the extra vorticity spreading north westwards. Wasn’t that supposed to pep up the snow and move it nw?
The whole lot seems to be shrinking.

It’s not cold enough to generate convective showers. Still above freezing here!

“Heaviest streams currently, red bringing worse conditions towards the far east Ramsgate/Margate”

explains why Whitstable is getting almost nothing.

Well this is frustrating. I currently have a snow accumulation of zero centimetres. Nothing. Nada

I think that my expectation levels went a bit high and I believed my own hype.

BUT... I saw my first snowflakes today in almost three years. For that I am thankful. The possibility also remains that more snow may fall at any time from now until at least Friday so despite the frustration there are many reasons to be cheerful

Just along from you in Saltdean, although being further West probably less of a chance going forward.

Had some reasonably heavy snow between 11am and 1230pm.Nothing stuck of course.

The temperatures allowed for settling snow during the afternoon and the result was clear skys with the odd flurry that has left the tiniest of dusting.

I think Worthing had more snowfall  due to heavier bursts.

Anyway,I am desperate for my 16 month old to see snow on the ground, so anyone with a decent fall within a 30 minute drive of Brighton in the coming days please let me know!

My take is that it'll be more heading towards the North Kent Coast. Not enough Easterly element yet.

I have not lost hope here in the norwich area ! However it is getting a little frustrating. Me and the kids continue to radar watch whilst looking at pictures from family in Suffolk and Essex fingers crossed we can get a dusting by the morning!

Winds are not due to shift more to the east until much later tonight! So currently the streams will generally stay in the same area, unless they expand and develop more. Currently there's more of a northerly element to the showers, with a slight easterly. So it's hitting the far east worst

It might encroach slightly further west with a small pivot - but I agree general direction of travel wont change much

Just popped in not been on last couple of hours, gone very quiet on here since... definitely wasn’t the excitement I was expecting like many others. I knew the main band was never going to be impressive in my area, but what has happened to these apparently heavy showers spreading in from the east?

It should be snowing over Whitstable now, IF the radar is correct and isn't evaporating

That’s exactly what we are waiting and watching for here. No sign of it yet, Patience is the key word I guess.

Winds are still more from the NE in our patch at the moment. Showers converging into streams at present.

Too much Northerly element to the wind at the moment (NNE) due to shift more NE’ly in the early hours which may drive showers inland a bit further. Until then it’s exposed coasts and NE Kent taking the brunt.
