Pretty big let down here so far

Its snowed since about 8am but it just isn’t cold enough. Roads and  Paths are soaked and it’s melting off the cars despite it still snowing.

Really didn’t think melting would be an issue ☹️

Unfortunately these things happen.

There is certainly some similarties to 26h Feb 05 and the snow that never was. That was a real let down for me as it was my first time dealing with a true bust.

I remember that - such a damp squib!

Man the abuse/anger via my social media inbox-PM.. and even a few em-mails.. with people demanding their snow ❄️.. and borderline outright abuse I’m getting is crazy ?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️.. it’s incredible what /how the weather certainly effects the mood -all round...anyway... I’m certain that again this is all a little delayed and most will have their fill .. over coming hours....

Wow! That's really bad. I value your input and always interested in what you say but I in know way consider it a guarantee of anything. I just don't understand some people.

Yeah im in the Norwich area. Very disappointing. Not sure why they have extended the amber warning in Norfolk. There must be something substantial later.

That’s what I am hoping as well, nothing on the radar at the minute that looks good for us. Will keep watching and update if I see or hear anything of interest.

The heavy ppn has stopped literally 1 mile to the east of me.  Jeez. The stuff in the north sea looks to be breaking up. If I don't get any from the main band, I'm not expecting anything from showers.

A lot of people have been saying the ground has been to warm to settle, well yes that mostly is true, however this morning the snow came down so intense, it was covering everything including the roads and pathways. The problem is, the snow as it is, is too light! It's not exactly white out conditions out there, and blizzards it is not. Just windy with light blowing snow.

But where exactly is the deben valley?

It runs from Debenham through to Woodbridge following the river Deben. I’m near Framlingham

Well today is a bust, here atleast, what snow did start to lay has now melted and pretty much stopped snowing too.

I know i should be greatfull for seeing falling snow, the first in nearly 3 years, just cant help feeling cheated, such great potential and it just went to @%!#.

Just watching the forecast on BBC News and she said 25cm +.  I think she’s missed out the decimal point in between those figures for my location. Even the snow on my car is starting to disappear.

Well, in that case, I'll go with my ability to distinguish what's frozen solid from what isn't. And, anyway, I wasn't commenting the temperatures, in other parts of East Anglia?

Starting to get icicles off the porch so it must be melting but cold enough to build icicles

I was at school and I remember thinking it was going to be cool to do PE out in the snowfall.

Turned into one of the worst PE lessons ever, horrible sleet with a near gale NE and a wind chill decently sub 0c. Utterly horrible.

Honestly! I've just had to apologise to my little brother after I bought winter gear for him to play in the snow
