Really suprised that the roads and paths are still just soaking wet. Everywhere else is covered and it’s pretty heavy here again now.

Even when had a dusting a few weeks back the roads and paths covered easily ??‍♂️

Great to see the movement westwards bringing more of the region into the fun & games!

Persistent moderate snow here still in Shoeburyness with big flakes and the odd heavy burst. Has settled even on roads- building up nicely. Looks like this is set in for the next 24hrs or so.

Heavy small flakes Sittingbourne and laying better now. Temp is -1 and currently under a nice yellow band with more to come! Let’s hope it intensifies further. ⛄

Temp -0.9c and DP -1.5c. Been for a 2 hour walk with the mutt, we have seen every type of snow. We descended around 40-50m, and noticeable that snow was less dense. On the way back up here, had a brief blizzard with gusty winds and blowing heavy big flaked snow. Now we have steady snow, but flakes are quite small. We are pushing 5cm and none of the drip, drip drip we normally get. It's also noticeable how this snow is sticking to trees and gates, and it was quite crunchy and icy on the gates and fences.

Can see snow blowing off neighbours roofs, and already grass covered in drifts.

Very heavy here with further settling on grass. Still nothing on concrete/tarmac but surely it can only be a matter of time now

Including the SE. The key is modelling won’t accurately pick up showers and streamers. It raises the stakes for later and gives more of us a chance for something more substantial.

The bulk of the streams of heavy showers I saw on the BBC forecast this morning at about 1000 were well to the North of the SE (across the Midlands to Wales and the Peak District, etc.), with only a few smaller ones draped across the south.

Here to the south east of you, temps have just fallen to freezing point and dp's just below that...so just starting to get a slight covering on pavements here. When the wind turns more ENE this afternoon then you'll see colder dp's and settling on everything (if it's still snowing).

Assuming your weather has been similar to Kent, the roads are still holding energy from that warm sunny day on Friday. It got to 12c and what with the sun shining on them they'll still have some of that heat.

Here you can tell where the shadows were because that's where the snow is settling!

I cannot believe how long this cold air from the East had been delayed... we were supposed supposed be below zero from early hours and it's still just above freezing here!!

Nothing much so far nr Epsom Surrey Temp was 1.5c at 8am, now 0.6c and falling but just had light blasts of light snow/graupel that have thawed between blasts!! Absolutely gutted and just hope that it increases as the day goes on although it's hard to have faith when something that had seemed so nailed on can fail so bad in the few hours before it was due!

Our one saving grace is that, unlike usually, this isn't one of those 1 in a winter chances that if you miss it, that's your luck gone... I still have snow forecast over today, tomorrow and Tuesday but again, hard to get excited atm.... x

Brightening up in Bexleyheath now with a few flakes blowing around.  Am actually hoping it drys out for an hour or two in the hope that if anything falls later this afternoon or evening it might attempt to settle properly.

My little girls first snow! Bless her, she kept watching the fat flakes and then pouncing on them as they landed!
