Temp is 0.7 and dp -0.4 when I woke at 7am there was no puddles, is it coz I'm literally 500mtrs from sea wall?

Yep, that doesn't really help either.

Air temperature is usually a little higher right on the coastline.

Think the Water Table is soooo high its just not got a chance to settle, that or get stuck under some yellow on radar for about 30 mins. Colder weather still to come in think Uppers get to -11c around Middday

I honestly can't recall it being this wet for so long and it seemed to begin around October. My garden has never been as wet and at times partly flooded as it has this autumn/winter. Actually just seeing the first signs of some of this snow trying to bind together but seems it has a long way to go.

Very fine flakes in Brighton, friends. Looking at the radar we may be on the very west of the band.  It could get heavier for us as the day goes on.

Not yet read posts but I hope that loads of you woke to a wonderland X

If the snow was heavy here would definitely verging on a blizzard here, the light snow is horizontal here in the strong wind.

It’s now February 2300, we’re in tier 700. Worthing has finally got to a centimetre of snow, after 279 years of continuous dandruff “snow,” much to Matt Hancock’s disgust, as any more than 0.5cm is only permitted in the first 650 tiers. Gavin Williamson is keeping the schools closed in all tiers as a precaution, for “health and safety” reasons.

Loved that

The powdery snizzle mixed in is finally allowing it to settle! Get in

Pretty sure by the time they or if they set up we will be sub zero across all the SE and settling  will be instant

When are the streamers due to set up if they  do?

Blimey Nick an overload on the “Here’s” there i think

Snowing fairly heavy here right now although the flakes are small and being whipped up by the wind. All surfaces covered bar the roads currently.

After a late start let’s hope it keeps up ??

Been snowing since 7.30 this morning here in N.Kent and the temperature dropped from a balmy 2 deg to 0 deg with a real feel if -12

It's also settling too, ontop of the wet ground from the rain earlier. Can hear the kids over the park so it must have settled enough to sledge in...

Snowing in Lynn! Seems to be a sudden uptick in North Sea effect snow developing off N Norfolk!

Massive flakes, medium intensity but high wind!

East side of my fence is completely white, struggling to settle on concrete here however.

Yes, that is the nature of an easterly, you need a bit of luck! Not expecting frontal snow or another low for our region so we need to strike lucky to get a covering for ice days!
