I imagine my chance of snow will be showers from later today onwards so i’ll be lurking for snow photos from here for now so be sure to share your wintry pics with the rest of us!

It is just a shame we didn't all wake up to lying snow as being a Sunday many more people would get to go out and enjoy it. If we get heavy snow on a Monday or Tuesday, not as many people can take advantage.

as i feared, the wind is too strong here in SE18 for the light snow to settle. blowing really strong off the thames so the snow is quite horizontal

I think there are wildly different definitions of what 'snow', 'blizzard' and 'everything is turning white' means from users on this forum. Basically nothing at all has fallen near Gravesend so far.

Flakes have to started to increase in size over last 10mins, need to keep this pace up if its going to settle properly, wind is certainly blowing it around though

Just starting to get a bit heavier in Maidstone. Things turning white. We have been on the edge of the heavier stuff all morning but a definite move west in last couple of hours.

Temp -1.5 now and still dropping.

Mainly light/moderate snow.

I'm in the Amber warning zone but trust me when I say we will not be seeing 10-15cm widely at this rate.

More like 1-3 .

Hope I'm wrong but it would really need to pick up intensity..

So I know this an area of low pressure creating the snow at the mo however are we likely to get streamers from the North Sea. Is the set up right?

Updated my snow depth map for England and Wales, valid until 12z on Monday (8th Feb). I've used a blend of high resolution models and radar trends. Delay to the transition to snow in SE and E Anglia this morning, and adjustment further east of Storm Darcy. But the heavier snow band seems to be slowly edging N and NW, particularly across E Anglia, for now.

Just got to the stables in hockley and wow what a difference it is really starting to come down now in a really strong easterly. We are really high here at the top of the hills but wow what a difference from home 5 mins away in hullbridge

Keep in mind once it’s started setting, in blizzard/whiteout conditions it can and will accumulate fast! i think it’s too early to call this a bust, if you’re in that amber warning keep your eyes peeled

Quite heavy now and sticking to cars etc instantly, took its bleepin time but it got here!
