It's now been quite heavy but still small flakes for past hour or so in Detling, just about settling on the grass hopefully a start of things to come!

Damn I was hoping up there would be pasted.

Moderate snow continues in Ramsgate/manston

Now sticking to every surfurce....

Hopefully that colder air will get here soon. A covering on all surfaces just roads and pavements being stubborn!

I think everyone just needs a bit of patience, judging by the hi-res models you'll all be laughing by the end of tomorrow.

Time will tell!

All day and tonight to go at least yet folks, as well as the rest of the week. Remember, sudden disturbances could crop up with this cutting easterly! No snow yet here, but glad to see many here getting it already!

Was just about to say the same thing, KS; snow is now settling on the puddles!

Glad to see you’re getting some! As I recall, you’ve missed out on recent events?

Fairly steady light snow here. Will be nice to see something turning white.

Met Office sticking to its guns on Persistent Heavy snow and large accumulations. Looking at the radar in addition, It feels like those who have snow will be the ones who see even more snow today, to the West and North of this area an extensive dry cloud shield is in place. The cloud sheild should edge away by late Monday hopefully allowing a colder ENE feed in with the possibility, hopefully, of snow showers making it further west than todays snow.

That reminds me of when I went to Latvia December 2019 similar temps and also rained first! Took about 10mins and there was 5cms after about 2hours of heavy snow fall

Everything turning white here in Locksbottom with intensity picking up a little and temperature continues to drop now -0.1.

Think for most it could be another radar watch and hope streamers become more widespread and there will be more people in the action.Pleased for all those that see accumulating snow today and hope those in heavier bands may reach 5-10cms by this evening

0.1c here now with moderate dandruff.

Once we go before 0c then I expect even this will start to stick.

The sun has come out here can see Blue sky's.

This is going to be an All Kent, Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk affair.

If anything down here the PPN has moved back eastwards in the last few hours so i've seen all I need to see to know i'm getting naff all.

But at least it's dry

Just a bit concerned the band that arches back to holland is already fragmenting.

Doesn't fill me wth confidence that this will be an all dayer.

Newhaven update - T1.8 D0.2.

Capture.thumb.PNG.69853ff52ad920cf6793c5cf28e940fc.PNG

The heavy drizzle has gone and been replaced with a mostly dry interlude. I say mostly dry as there are occcasional flakes of heavy wet snow filtering down. I know it's wet, I know it won't lay but I know that I'm happy now. After 3 years I've finally seen a snowflake

Thats good to know so Norfolk, Suffolk and Kent ticking it off the list.

So is it just the South and Mid Essex areas and North Kent near the Estuary who have not had a covering since March 2018 ?

Anyone else out there in this 35 month barren spell

Do I detect an element of towel throwing here Paul?....let’s see where we are in the next couple of hours. I bet we will have a covering before lunch
