Some of the posts in here make for great reading, for all the wrong reasons. Looking at the charts and out the window, it seems everything is delayed by 4/5 hours. Bit of a shame really as the ground is sodden and the snow will be falling in daylight. Still plenty of opportunities lay ahead in the first part of the week.

The drifting snow coming off Lidl's long, flat roof is quite something!

I never called him out but did put a post in here earlier probably around 430am saying his hunch about it not being that far west and a clipper was probably right, but its hard to congratulate someone when you are 4 hours into a 30 hour event

It's not about whether he was right or not. It was the stick he was getting. And not just him either. It was just nasty.

It's snowing here but hasn't a chance in hell of settling.  We haven't got a breeze here or anything.

Someone may correct me but actually but where you are is probably a really good place with a North East  wind. No chance of the channel warming things up when the wind comes off the land. I guess that's why Hythe (Kent) used to do well In a snowy north easterly.

The heavier precipitation is agonisingly close off the Southend coast. Moving ever so slowly, will certainly build up some accumulation under that! Anyone in Canterbury or Ashford? Must be doing well at the moment!

Dual carriageway in ashford is covered in snow apparently

The road is closed or there is no traffic. My road is still very wet and full of puddles.  Wind picking up a bit now.

So strange to see how much reports are varying from all over the region, even localised differences and then those of us more towards the western extent of the region who are stuck with nothing.

Light snow going sideways in the strong winds here, beginning to build up.

The temp is falling.

If the snow gets heavier it will settle.

It's snowing here and there is a strong wind blowing it horizontal. Looks like the ground will stay wet without it settling for now at least. A good day to not have to go out.

Not a great Update from Weatherquest on Twitter just now

Seems only Suffolk and Kent they are thinking for anything settling and accumulating

Got a covering on everything except roads and pavements, however, it is trying to lay there. Just needs to go down a bit more which it should this morning,

Don't be fooled by sodden ground mate I can see flakes already beginning to stick to features here in GRAVESEND temps have plummeted dramatically and the snows just picked up settling in cars for now
