Floor's beggining to turn white now after half an hour of proper snow, I expect after a few hours I could have a deep settling snow by early afternoon.

Excuse the state of the garden, we had an extension in the summer and its been neglected over the winter to get inside done!

Heavy fine snow blowing around and it's now settling on cars roofs and grass etc..

Hmmm, not far from me - the added height must help?

Updated Met Office now has light snow (yeah, 1mm per day rate)  down from Heavy for most the day from 2am this morning. Now it's shifted to heavy snow from tonight to more or less all day tomorrow.

Farcical...

And I see snow right down to coastal level in places. You can't make it up.

Well our fellow members above you in Surrey more East not by much are now reporting falling snow..

So keep watching radar and let's see

Hard to tell as the front edge isn't well defined but it looks like at least over Sussex its not made much if any progress westwards over the past 2hrs. Still moving westwards over EA clearly but the progress does seem to have slowed over London as well though any strengthening of the font edge will push it further west still by virtue of increased size.

Either way there is going to be some convection heading across at some point later today, hopefully it can hold fire till later in the day as the amounts are going to be so small that we need all the help we can get to get it to freeze and hang around, because a dusting won't last long even with temperatures at just 1-2c.

The western edge of the band is building and intensifying. Here are the radar returns from 6.35 and 8am where you can see the difference. It’s just about reached me now:

Very fine snow in Rochester.  Glad it finally made it

Should be able to make a snowman in roughly 15 years, but it's also very lightly snowing in Strood.

Heavy snow here now, yet the tiny little flakes. Everywhere already starting to take a covering!

Look at the showers piling in up North. Hopefully we will get some of this if we miss the main band.

As always I'm between the two areas of snow

Raining in catford?? That’s pretty unlucky but cold air is still feeding in so that should stop

Yeah think 99% of Londoners have got there heaters on,   but we should be on the right side if a Thames streamer picks up. The only hope i can see so far for anything decent

Bloody Brexit.

Anyway she’s cleared customs and slowly edging west.

No she just had to quarantine for couple hours as was coming in from Holland lol

So far this winter weve been too far South, Too far East and now were too far West.

Im done with winter 2020/2021 can we just move onto spring now please.

Yet another snowless winter to add to the rest of the snowless winters here bar 1 day in 2018...since 2013.
