Thanks, haven't checked the radar as a bit deflated and haven't woken up yet!

Had in my mind that we'd need at least 2 to 5 cms by now to hit the top end of the warning estimates, so I've just knocked that off. Highly scientific

How's it going in Colchester?

I was a bit worried after looking out window too.

Especially being under precipitation last week and nothing falling.

Very light, you can only just about see it under the lights.

Quite windy aswell.

I’m wondering if that zone is setting up and the Amber zone will be 30 miles or so east of where it was forecast - or whether it’s still going to edge west and affect where the met office originally stated. Tough to tell

Yes this is sliding NNE to SSW so thats gunna be my jackpot zone, seeing some pics from 600ft near Canterury of stunning snow piling up already.

Morning folks. I'm very surprised to see exactly the same scene before I went to bed. Wet, snowless and grey! And I am in the amber warning.. what on earth happened? Did Darcy become a Kent clipper in the end?

Edit: note this isn't a toy throwing tantrum post please. I generally am surprised and confused as to what appears to have perhaps gone wrong

I'm on the coast (can look out the window and see the sea down the road) and it's snowing here. It's light to moderate on and off, but it's all snow now. Far too light, and wet, to settle at the moment

It dropped to town level. I bet the downs 2 miles away are pasted. The hills of Hastings will be same I think

Temperature and dew point taking a dive here now. Snow event should be under way shortly. It's a few hours behind schedule. Remember the amber warning started at 4am today.

Amber warning of no snow

Dp Still just a touch too high in Fav, temp 2c dp 1.3c Still, it wasn’t meant to snow until around 3/4am and it’s only 7am. I’m not giving up yet. The wind is absolutely roaring out there while the rain lashes down so it’s nice and cosy indoors. Patiently waiting for that dp to drop then we might have some sideways snow ?❄️

Very small snow grains, settling a little on cars and shed roof. The wind is pretty gusty too. Come on big snow where are you

Hello fellow Kesgravian! I'm also in Kesgrave

Got a very eager 10 year old wanting to test his new sledge out. Hope we can get it to settle out there!.

Snap! Who knows, maybe we'll get a bit more than I'm expecting.

Think we'll need a heavy burst of proper snow for about half an hour just to get the ground prepped for a covering. If it's more patchy and outside the main band to the east I think we could find ourselves snookered.

Good luck!
