Don’t get me wrong, if we get in line with a streamer 10cm is easily possible.  The next few hours should be interesting.

Understood, am ignoring any apps and just looking at the radar now.

What will be will be, but keeping my fingers crossed at the same time!!

Referring back to my earlier transition from snow to rain, we are at stage one.  Rain with icy blobs, that can be witnessed on a car windscreen.

Just sleet here in East Dene, the ground is far too wet for anything too settle. Good night all. Take care and good health to you all.

Do you mean rain to snow?

How many stages are there in your scale - assume the last is total whiteout

Maidstone 230ft ASL  temp 1.9 DP 1.3

Other readings im Maidstone are coming up with lower dew points which would tie in with the red radar returns which is a positive.

Gradually dropping but a painfully slow process at this hour!

Looking at the Dutch radar everything seems to be playing out as planned, hopefully all will be white around here in a couple of hours!

Nope. But it is easy to pop out and look at the nearest car windscreen.. I would be arrested if otherwise lol.

Full transition to snow complete now here in Margate right on the coast. Blizzard like conditions, very strong winds.

Anyone else considered the possibility that this could be the most west it will get? Just a thought...

This is about as west as it gets, there is a little room for pivoting a touch more but that's almost it in terms of westerly motion.

After it breaks down there will be showers forming which may stand a better chance but I would not bank on it.

That proves it in my mind. If it's snowing in Margate then things are going to plan.

Not overly impressed with the 00Z UKV, seems to keep pushing the heavier snow back further and further - fine for Kent though!

Monday now the day for the most widespread snow?

I’m in South London, so I have more optimism for bands etc. You on the other hand, who is further in land, shouldn’t really have much.
