Goodness my first venture into the Regional Thread. Not sure I should have bothered! Too many prams! For goodness sake let the cold get in first!!! There has not been a proper forecast of snow before the early hours. Put your apps where they belong in the LOO!!!!!

Yep! All the prams from the mod thread have found their way here. Toys on route as i type!

Some info on the met office web site in respect to there icons. If the correct conditions to snow and it’s 80% or more chance of precipitation you get two snow flakes if 70% or less it’s one snow flake. So the way the site/app is set up you can’t have heavy snow if there is only 70% chance of precipitation. So very very poor guide on intensity of snow fall.

That’s really reassuring, in an odd way.

always depressing to go from 2 flakes to 1,  yet it may mean very little in the broad scheme of things .

thankyou

The sky has that classic red tinge to it here, so it's snowing aloft. Winds really picked up now too!

Well if this doesn't turn to proper snow anytime soon, then the Medway will be overtopping again

Looks about where it should be to me, perhaps a touch further north than some models.

It's probably roughly reached it's western extent, the band will tend to pivot and move NE>SW before breaking up to be replaced by showers/streamers tomorrow afternoon.

Thanks. Here in NE London I’m hopefully expecting to be on the western edge of the band.

If I was living in Kent, Suffolk, Essex etc then I would be going to bed as I wouldn't expect much in the way of snow until tomorrow morning.  Personally I am awaiting tomorrow evening when the wash streamer appears!

Good luck in Ockendon, I used to live down south road some years back and grew up there, so know the place very well!

I remember driving back in the snow in dec 09 from lakeside in the snow, was quite an interesting experience!

I think sadly there will be many toys thrown out of the pram because outside the amber zone we are going to be feeding off scraps and some may get literally nothing. some people way over hyped themselves.
