No way Hose not that brave when breakdowns are being looked at

Btw Nice Radar on Sat24 from the NL Radar on there, shows the westwards movement and shearing off the coast of Denmark, run the annimation, looks further north than modelled but all on track for a 4am hit

EN.SAT24.COM

Infrared satellite images of Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Clouds in Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg at night and in the evening. Weather Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Satellite Weather...

Lol, it’s not the breakdown that’s causing it, it’s the GFS 18z and hysteria at the 360hr charts.!!!!

How do you know a cold spell is about to arrive?

1. The model thread turns into when is the breakdown coming thread

2. The regional thread turns into into its not going to arrive thread

Goodness my first venture into the Regional Thread. Not sure I should have bothered! Too many prams! For goodness sake let the cold get in first!!! There has not been a proper forecast of snow before the early hours. Put your apps where they belong in the LOO!!!!!

I know what you mean, but there is a currently a big clump of precipitation over the Netherlands which has some heft to it. I still reckon that we won't be let down, it's just a matter of keeping an eye on the low's movement, but the radar is the one to watch.

WOW NL PPN Screenshot.png

You can see the snow that is going to be present for the amber area just starting to come into the radar on the North Sea.

It should strengthen a little in the next few hours as the low strengthens a little further.

IMO if any Thames streamer forms in the next couple of days you can already see the rough westward extent IMO right now with the way the convection over Kent dies off past a certain point.

Yep, it's really come alive over the last 30 minutes, looking good.  Temp here down to 3.6c now.  Still someway to go but it's starting to fall nicely.

Right guys, good luck further east.

I'm looking forward to seeing some good snow pictures to make up for my icy mud and very gray skies in the next week.

All the best for tomorrow mate with the vaccine.

Throwing in the towel too soon for your location. You never know what could pop up.

Surely there could be opportunities cropping up at short notice during the next week?!

Seems like the met office keeps changing every 5 minutes! I’m going to ignore it now. Does any of the radars look hopeful for Norwich? We have an amber warning but right on the edge of the amber zone. Pretty envious of those in Suffolk/Essex.
