Yep, plenty of showers packing in once the organised band clear, enough for modest covering in most areas by the end of Monday and significant accumulations in favoured spots.

Looks like 06Z GFS is picking up a wash streamer late sun/monday morning.

Extending all the way into Wales!

I do hope the heavy rain predicted for 12 hours before the snow doesn't hamper the snow laying too much.

Well if it’s a swift changeover rain to snow without a gap in precip falling to allow the ground temps to drop to zero then the wet ground is bound to reduce modelled accumulations a little.  And if you’re in an area thats showing modest accumulation then that could be a concern, yes .

If it snows heavily enough no problem. But if it then freezes it makes for very slippery conditions that are difficult to clear up. Slushy snow below goes rock hard.

I’m feeling hopeful about tomorrow, even though I live 500m south of tower bridge. Also a bit concerned about and rain today and tonight early not allowing the snow to settle. I’ve also wondering if the urban heat island effect, which often scuppers decent lasting snow cover here, will be less due to the pandemic - less people, traffic etc. I wish everyone ❄️❄️❄️

During the last half-hour, the wind has switched from SW, to NE, and now, it's back to SW again!

Couple weeks ago I was taken by how the snowline changed either side of the A10 on my daily drive to Harlow

perhaps karma will have it the other way around by Monday

Was Just looking at google Maps and thinking we need to get to the other side of the A10 to get the sledge out tomorrow ... Any suggestions for good spots around Broxborn / Hoddesdon / Harlow anyone

Sorry to hear that. My mum had the vaccine a few days ago which knocked her for six.

Personally I would get some rest as this cold spell will continue for at least 7 days if not longer.

One tick away from red warning! Likelihood just has to rate up by one point. So poss of red warning tonight when it's a few hours away maybe? Although Red for a Sunday during lockdown might be overplaying it as travel and movement limited

Where in Chelmo are you?

Up in north Springfield we have had  nothing

BTW I love reading your positive but at the same time realistic posts.

Kind regards
