Better from GFS 18z, low further south east, 850s colder than the 12z, an improvement which will bring snow showers. Fingers crossed for more upgrades tomorrow ??

And lots of sunshine

I’m with you. Can’t wait for that warmth on my skin. Sunbathing  at 28c when we look at our northern friends who have 12c with clouds (conveniently forgetting they’ve had mega snow events )

Hi peeps

I am absolutely gob smacked  and surprised. Just watched the extended BBC weather and what a difference from yesterday. Not only that but today this forcast seems to be confident that as we go through from Saturday to Sunday snow showers really becoming extensive and even here for our region there was a lot of snow graphic. This lasting all next week only then there is a hint of milder weather coming back to the west of the UK at the end of the week.

I am really really puzzled now, yesterday we were talking about The BBC forcast being  a day behind on the models and yet today their forcast seems to be so miuch better than what the output has been showing for us down here.

I really don't know where this is heading now. The guessing game goes on.

Mark, Mark, Mark, you are tempting me back into the MAD thread like waving a beer in front of an alcoholic. I will be strong and resist.

Err, back in five.

Fair to say the latest GFS has snow for most of us by Sunday morning. Crown Hill, here I come (socially distanced of course)

I would expect many upgrades from tomorrow,  I would not be surprised if we all have a decent snow event over the next 7days. Infact I'm gonna commit to my comment and yes... Incoming.. WTS.

Yet nw took away all my snow symbols on forecast, and replaced with rain and much milder temps...

Pretty happy that we have stepped through T144, T120, T96 and on to tomorrow T72 towards a marker of Saturday 1pm with still good confidence of a cold spell thereafter. Still a possibility for the outcome to be less than satisfactory but confidence growing.

IMHO of course.
