Hi Roger,

Please can I have the following, for February.

2.8 C and 57 mm.

I've gone with what an acquaintance of mine, South East Meteorologist Ian Currie, suggests temperature wise, for February.

He said that the early part of Winter has reminded him of the 1953/54 Winter.

February 1954, came in with a C.E.T. of 2.6 C., with very cold N.E winds, in the first half.

Ian expects a colder than average Month, with some Snow before mid-Month but I've mitigated this by a mild final third.

Regards,

Tom.

Too much hype regarding February I don’t think it Will be a very cold month I think it will be quite mild 7.5c and 100 5MM precipitation.

For "Windysun" above, I got a p.m. confirming that the -- was punctuation not negative 2.2, so the entry reads 2.2 C (and 92 mm).

Entrant wished to edit post but edit not available. Will mention this to J10 as the post looks like a minus more than punctuation (we get this problem with the -- punctuation frequently, I have sent a few messages to entrants over the years for clarity when making up tables of entries).

Best solution, be like SLEETY or Duncan McAlister and place your minus sign where it can't appear to be punctuation.

As always, the models are chopping and changing like mad, the current GEM output looks frigid, the ECM tepid, the GFS cold with deeper cold lurking near end (as usual).

They have quite a severe winter in Fantasy Island, I think the winter means are around -5 C there.

I’m holding back for now.....I’m wary of the buckles being shown...it is Britain after all.

Possibly the most tricky month ever during my time on Netweather!  I'm going to leave it until tomorrow evening bit even then I will probably still be none the wiser!
