Well 2018 Kildare, Ireland you guys did best... so not always, sometimes being west has its advantages closer to to Atlantic, very cold air is usually dry. I should think if a significant blast affected U.K. it wouldn’t miss out Ireland I know in January 2013 it was a near miss but the depth of that cold wasn’t impressive. Apples and oranges to what we could potentially see imo.
