I'm wondering if it's stalling, seems to be taking an age to get here!

I'm in Ashtead (between Leatherhead and Epsom) and the pink blob had been sitting about 5m to the west for 1.5hrs then started and got about 5-6cm in 2.5hrs! Come up Epsom Downs now for a little sledge, still been very finely snowing but brightening up now.

Meto has more snow overnight so looks like it's coming back over later??!!!x

>Well. Snow just started in Chelmsford but it must be about as marginal as it gets, alternating sleety mix and falling on wet ground.

Places to my NW have definitely had stronger PPN. Almost been in an area of much lighter snow (look at M11) when you run the radar loop. I might benefit from stall and pivot though. But again those NW of here may benefit still further.

Similar, looks like it's starting again - admittedly very light - but there's a clear thaw underway.

Light rain now . All In all though a great event though

Taking the opportunity to get the compulsory i love snow family picture. Skies are clearing now. The band certainly doesn't look like the pivot is going to be as strong as first thought.

Generally bad always here except for one of two rare events now and again. Global warming and almost always anomalous high sea temperature moderates weather way too much here now. Father in law near Leicester, hammering down with snow. Unless very cold eastern Europe temps creep across from the East any events like this are best towards midlands

seems only the beast from the east delivers now to the far SE,,, where uppers are cold enough to give snow despite the warmer seas in our regionon even at 800 ft it was only wet snow, crude  on the downs,

Nice! That last pic is one of my favourite spots, love the Great Park. Is it still coming down?

My retirement to the Cairngorms cannot come quickly enough . . . this winter, for my location, has been as bad as it can get.

Truly shocking.

Met O radar seems to be a complete waste of time today for some reason. I’m under moderate precip now and it’s absolutely bone dry ??‍♂️

Normally their radar is spot on

Not sure what went wrong across Kent, but people on the Downs are even reporting rain now. Absolute flop for most SE of London. Wont know until the re-analysis but my guess is a wedge of less cold air aloft moved in across Kent from the south as winds veered southerly, combined with the band fragmenting & weakening meant rain rather than snow for many.

Areas that saw the heaviest precip, London etc have done very well.

What a sh*t winter this has been for us down here.

Sleety rain now so I think it’s wrap here in Raynes Park.

Drip drip and the  thaw is on.

2cm at best so best event since March 2018 but a long way from winter nirvana.  Roll on the next chase in early Feb!

Spot on. If it's not from the east or north east we are scuppered on the SE coasts these days. MO thread reporting further sliders this week so more of the same to come unfortunately
