Yep, 3 years next month without laying snow in south east Essex, fingers crossed today Paul but as ever, could be a tad marginal for us! ??‍♂️ Find out in about 60-90mins

I can see SE Essex missing out altogether - certainly looks as if the heavy stuff is already pivoting meaning it's likely to miss us in the far east of Essex

It’s got very dark in Bromley.... I’m seeing reports from Shirley, Croydon, surely it’s got to come here...

It's stopped now. It was a brief shower ahead of it

I dont think peterborough has ever been so so unlucky, snow has been north south east and west so far this winter, a few days ago a very good band came right above us, turned to rain a few miles west, then after it passed turned back to snow.. icon has us in a very good area for today but tbh I cant see it happening.. really am hoping something makes it here but chances are slim, for whoever's gets lucky today get some pics for us and totally enjoy it, us all in this area deserve it (blow some this way if possible please thou haha) xx

Speaking from experience, I can agree with you. The same thing happens with storms, especially from a direct Westerly, they always broke up or fizzled out over the King’s Cliffe/Rockingham forest area, and then would renew itself further S over the A14 corridor, or up into S Lincs. Very frustrating, and was a regular occurrence over the last twenty years!

Lincolnshire and West Norfolk round this area have always done best with weather extremes.

Just pretty much plain old rain here in hassocks with the odd big flake or two, conditions too marginal here I think!

Rain, with the odd bit of graupel, started here in Horsebridge so the unbearable tension is over.

On to the next chase for us!

Looks to me the stall and pivot is occuring now right over SW London and areas along the M4 West of London. Looks that way to me on radar anyway.

Sweet spot still looks to be the M40 somewhere along the Chilterns

Looks like a good shout Paul!

The best for SE Essex / East Kent would be later today when it moves back south east (post pivot) i reckon

It’s definitely slowing down. Clouds are moving a lot slower than they were half an hour ago.

I reckon ashford west should be ok for Kent, go past ashford towards the coast and you might be out of luck Maidstone Medway might struggle but would expect to see some lying snow there as well

Hope so

Absolutely nothing here (yet) in North Croydon, doesn't look far off mind.
