Certainly nice to see the sun still shining at gone 4pm. 7c just now.

Yes definitely noticing the lighter evenings on my after work run now.

After today’s sun show, I cannot wait for the lighter evenings and the warmth of the sun.

BUT.... if we get snow the above will go out of the window, and it can stay cold, dark and snowy until the end of Feb!!!

Yes, it’s just a few hrs later with the front than ECM. Wish we could see a 52hr chart from the UKMO

Yes interesting its such short timeframes but still wildly different from the GFSp model which shows a snowy Saturday afternoon and evening instead! I'd take either or preferably both!

All this talk of possible snow, yet most of the showers appearing on radar towards southern parts are rain... Is it likely to be colder this weekend?

I'm pretty sure that's old data and the gfsp has stopped running from yesterday morning.

Just notice the DP at Biggin hill is 0 so maybe some winteriness in the showers there?

edit; it's gone up now

I know these charts are well into fantasy land, but we're starting to see more and more of these kind of charts popping up for the start of February. Let's hope it's a trend!

Streamers? This setup would be perfect for that!

Definitely. And if the pattern could then hold, just look at that cold dropping into Scandi! All just for fun at the moment, but definitely something to keep our eyes on as we head towards February!

So, as another member posted above, is it likely to turn cooler into Sunday? As if we stay with the DP’s we’ve currently got south and west of London, nothing will fall apart from rain!

Dew points for Sunday will be good coastal areas little more marginal.
