Unless the squall slows it progress east, it will be a couple of hours earlier than forecast.

The two squall lines seem to have merged to a degree. Wind gusts are also increasing ahead of it and temps dropping like a stone behind it... it could be a torrid few hours ahead.

The Same model that had me +24hrs for inches of snow 6 times over so far this winter.

My used toilet paper probably has a more accurate map than the ECM snowfall charts.

Regardless of that ECM model is good at forecasting where PPN is given conditions look good on Sunday something to take note.

If you’re looking for some decent snow videos head over to the north west thread - this is a still from a video posted there. It’s mesmerising ....

To be fair there’s great ones in the Scotland thread and Wales thread too.

One day people will be coming in the SE thread to watch these types of videos...keep the faith

I guess it’s their fair reward for 2 days of relentless rain...

The lull we had here is well and truly gone, it's going mental right now.

It looks that way. I hope everything stays roughly in place for you.

Today has just been a horrible day with rain on and off all day with some heavier bursts, espicially this evening and it looks like some really heavy rain is due here shortly.Temperature has been between 7.7-8.5 all day here in Locksbottom.

Some wonderful and many seem to say unexpected snowy scenes in the North West thread and I see even Crewe has had a decent covering(Crewecold will be happy ).

Maybe the SE Threads turn on the weekend but I don’t think we will know till Friday night on possible weekend snow.In the meantime I think parts of North west England,North Wales,North East England and Central belt of scotland/Borders (espicially south of Edinburgh) could well wake up to the biggest covering of the winter so far so if you want to see some good pictures & videos of snow head over to those threads.

Stay safe.

I'm wondering what sustained spread is right now. Can't wait till met office updates at 11, well about 20 past. I'd estimate 40. Hope I'm over.

Much stronger gusts here in Bexhill all of a sudden, probably around 55mph?

Looking at two of our wheelie bins in street and wondering where they will end up. I've given up trying to save them.

Really picked up now hasn’t it? Wind buffeting the house making it creak. Could do without any more wind, always convinced we’re going to lose tiles or the whole roof the way it sounds!

I'm watching my lamppost, it's swaying like a tree in the big gusts.

Ha ha me too. We’ve got an older style one outside (much better!) and it’s all over the place too.

My parents live in one of the static caravan park homes in Capel, I’d imagine it’s swaying up there at the moment!

Sunday looks good for the majority of the SE! Up to 10cm in places I'd say.

When South East gets forecast snow we get... Rain

When Midlands gets forecast flooding and rain, they get... Snow

The top gust on the weather station up there is much higher than Langdon bay.
