The latest ecm 46 day is a kick in the stomach if you like cold - trough to the west and long fetch south westerlies - confused.com !

Not to worry, I'm sure our BFTE will turn up precisely on the 1st of March but tbh if it was anything like the one in 2018 I wouldn't be complaining!

Sorry to hear about you testing positive again for COVID. Unfortunately, people can catch COVID again even though we have been told the opposite!

I have also got COVID symptoms and posted my home test kit this morning.

To see some snow will cheer us up ❄️

I thought that catching it again was meant to be extremely unlikely. I’ve been careful but I guess you just don’t know. When will you get your results? Hope you don’t feel too unwell? Some snow would be very cheerful Failing that, some sunshine ☀️

Couldn't agree more...just what I was thinking whilst taking the dog for a walk 1/2 hour ago...we see so little sun whether mild or cold over winter and now days experience very little cold high pressures with at least a few days of clear sunny weather with frosts persisting, there just gone!

Hope your feeling better? even though testing positive...are you back in the UK?

They are gone, or very rare nowadays. I remember some great cold sunny highs, that’d give beautiful days where the frost wouldn’t melt all day.

Am feeling fine, thank you ?? Getting to be a bit of an expert at all this testing malarkey lol I arrived in the UK on December 18th

Had some sleet while driving through Maidstone earlier this evening, checked elevation and I was at 24m, bodes well for the rest of the region later in the night/first thing in the morning.

We have had sleet here for a while, and has arguably become light, wet snow. Not settling and not heavy enough to do so and generate sufficient cooling yet I suppose, but looks like snow as it falls. 10 mins SE of Tunbridge Wells.

Unfortunately I don't have anything to measure dew point...

DP just notched down to 0.0, Temp 2.8. Showers starting to pick up just outside the estaury, could start to get interesting soon.

Nothing happening here at present. Temp 2.1c and dp 2c. I’m hoping the line of showers currently running along the Suffolk/Essex coastline continue on as this might just reach us. Hopefully the temp and dp will drop nicely as well.
