And you know what we just dont care anymore and most will be happy sticking their noses to the window pane watching some big fat fluffy flakes lol

Let's all agree whatever happens in the morning, we should be happy that we got a frontal event to chase and monitor this winter

Good luck to all for some juicy fat flakes

the met office forecast has changed now to light snow 5-6am, heavy snow 6-7am, 7-8am sleet, 8-12 rain.  so it looks like we will have to be up early to see any snow, if there is any at all in the remainng 7 hours

The 18z UKV is looking a bit poor but more inline with thoughts stated earlier, looked increasingly likely that accumulating snow would be limited to parts of EA and the higher ground of SE England. We should all at least see some falling snowfall though away from the far S Coast if nothing else!

An amber warning for this? on a Saturday morning? ..

Hope i'm wrong but this doesn't seem to be worth getting excited over!

Too many false dawns this year, losing the interest already. COP would be great, often over there with the dog.

Anyway, fingers crossed but i'm not hopeful.

so, the bulk of the front is getting towards Swansea. Given Swansea to London is roughly 200 miles along the M4 and if its moving at 50 MPH then the front should reach central London around 4 hours time. reckon any ppn will start imby around 0200

The thing is though it will slow down as it moves towards colder air in east so I think you’re more talking more about 4am.
