Snow not far away from here now in NE London. Looks like the Midlands got battered today.

Confirmed! Although it's more hail/sleet at the moment. Hoping for an upgrade!

Temps still too high here in Southend so we are about to be hit with a return of the rain and drizzle we had earlier. Sickening.

Yep and we’re one of the only areas of the British isles with positive dew points, really is sickening.

Yep it is thouroughly abysmal out there with a misty drizzle and a nagging east wind just wish it would do one into the low countries so we can get a nice frost and clear skies.

Temp 2.4c

Dewp 1.3c

Cannot wait for that first warm spring day and convective skies way off in the distance to my North or South but at least can sit in the garden and not put up with this disgusting weather

Now this may be me getting my hopes up and just looking for anything snow related but Kent still in with a chance of 1-2cm later potentially?

What do you guys and girls think ?

After sleet and patchy light snow all day, things have finally kicked off here with some huge flakes falling now. Hope everyone has had a brilliant day!❄️

Glad to see you’ve got in on the action!

Not been brilliant here in East Sussex, in fact it’s been a load of rubbish. Not even any sleet mixed in with the rain, never mind snow.

Of course, it now feels cold enough outside again for the white stuff now that the precipitation has cleared off.

For the sake of farness, I thought I'd check the latest NW app, and guess what it said... 2C and snowing! Good grief, it's pathetic (my lamppost says it isn't!) get the effing thing right, for once?

Crikey radar looks quite promising for the far north of London, Epping Forest, Chingford E4, Barnet, Enfield etc.

No but dont get the point of your post ? I am merely commenting on the relentless crud weather this January we are having, one of the worst winters ever in fact.

If you look back my hotspots both got Hammered in Surrey and the Chilterns, I am not that unsavvy to know that any east source to the wind IMBY will not yield snow.

Noticed that. Almost like a mini streamer setting up. If you notice too further south there is precipitation appearing in the Thames estuary south of the front and edging closer to east Kent.

Unless it’s from Yakutsk of course

Are you sure it really isn’t snowing? Perhaps you should go outside and check again as surely the App can’t be wrong?❄️

And to add to the original Question was it meant to snow for you the following

My Thoughts : 0%

ECM 150%

gfs 100%

Harmonie 0%

Arpege 15%

So I pretty much knew it was game over when the 2 crappest models suggested 6 hours of snow
