Profile details are coded in to the forum software to be supported on mobile devices in landscape mode. Unfortunately, that's a problem for the browser/device you're using.

Fair enough mate, that explains it.

Still hammering it down in Cambourne Cambridge, heaviest snow of the day and it’s all settling

As said above.. turn your mobile device around to landscape mode and it'll show people's locations.

Just tried that - and no it doesn’t on mine? Anyway, it’s a small ask, people just need to stop being lazy!

South Peterborough, it makes a change to not be up the charts on rainfall totals for once.
I must admit I do feel bad for those over Kent and Eastern parts of EA today. I was mocking the pub run from the GFS last night but the current amber warning is exactly where the model had the highest snow totals for today.
There will be more snow events to come in the coming weeks, I am actually quite sure of that. So hopefully everyone will get some decent memories of this winter. My son is 2 years old and this is the first significant snowfall he has seen and has loved every minute of it.

Thanks. 2/3 hours of snow in Gatwick this morning. Up and out and great fun. Thaw set in this afternoon but first time my little ones really remember snow (last time three years ago). Such a rarity. Such a gift. Let’s hope Feb delivers.
I stopped model watching for the winter a fortnight ago. Too stressful. Checked my phone app on Thursday, wondered if it would be right. It was.

Which London region.? Light snow and sleet for Enfield showing.?

Showing where?

The forecasts that were made have already been proven inaccurate so far today, so I'm looking at the radar as a guide.

If you cannot see it, then it is only happening with iPhones.

It's worked on Android phones for years, so it's down to the browser/device. Have you tried another browser?

I don't think it's being lazy not putting a location in. How are posters supposed to know that other members are using an iPhone and cannot see profile details?

Can’t wait until we have one of them 48 hour North Sea effect snow events again with a direct Northerly or Northeasterly.

Model outputs keep on hinting at a cold February, so we shall see.

Snap, as I said yesterday our best chances are always full blown northerly, or the beast from the east... any weather system from the west always stalls like today or fragments before it gets here...travel to Corby...my friends are there, 8” of snow not stopped since 12 and it’s still coming down

All I can say is that the NW app is almost as hilarious as ITV's An Audience With Jasper Carrot!

I hope that areas that didn't see a covering (East Kent, South Essex), or just a patchy covering (here) earlier, might do better out of Round II. A few years ago on a certain other weather website I won't name, someone opined that it's rare in lowland Britain to see settling/accumulating snow in the heart of the day, defined as 11am - 3pm - it's hard to argue with this. Apart from the warm sector out to the East some of us were unlucky with the timing of the precipitation, perhaps darkness will be our friend tonight.

I hope so!

Still snowing in St Neots, and has been since 11am

Facebook full of snowmen and snow walks with dogs... doesn’t happen here very often, so gotta make the most of it.

I couldn’t see locations on iPhone but switch to chrome / landscape and it works

maybe clutching straws but the band is still reasonable as it started its journey south although this can quickly decay

This is going to get a response. Now in my experience of snow situations, I have always been very skeptical of west to east scenarios as we tend to do not so well out of these compared to East North East snow events. I have to say I was happily surprised by todays events

After sleet and patchy light snow all day, things have finally kicked off here with some huge flakes falling now. Hope everyone has had a brilliant day!❄️

A poor show by the BBC again for this locale (and by one remove the Meteo Group and ECM) as it has been light rain in Holland On Sea at my mother's since the first drops at 3:30 pm.  Their web site is as useful as a pair of gloves on a twice convicted Saudi Arabian shoplifter.  Not even a vestige of sleet.  The Sisyphean quest for the first flake of snow this winter continues and I have been peregrinating between Upminster and here throughout.

Anyone got latest radar for Cambridgeshire, would like to see how long this may stick around for.

Not too long - front is starting to track south now and will fragment as it goes.

Also started to turn back a bit sleety as the intensity drops and the evap cooling effect decreases.

So true. Perhaps Kent/Sussex coasties can join our socially distant snow gang as well.

So you can see people's locations under their profile picture.

Or choose the three dots top right corner (android) and choose desktop site
