Is any more snow expected for west Kent this evening/tonight, is the blob on the radar coming back south ?

Why doesn't location show on mobile when posters post ?

Tilt your phone into landscape (sideways) - you can see it then

Any views if north west Kent is in with a shout as the front returns south.. missed out this morning by several miles I’ve never in my 50 years known inner south east London areas do better than north west Kent...

This is painful to watch, midlands have done so well with snow events this winter whilst all I have had is frosts, wind and cold rain. I would even be happy just to see a few flakes falling from the sky.

Can’t wait until we have one of them 48 hour North Sea effect snow events again with a direct Northerly or Northeasterly.

Model outputs keep on hinting at a cold February, so we shall see.

Still snowing fairly hard here. There is around 5cm on top of the car at the moment. The best snow event I have witnessed since January 2013.

But where are you, sir?

Forecast is saying that we’re due more snow again from midnight until 3am. This that front going to come back round again? It looks like it could do...

I personally reckon you are in with a shout. (Don't quote me on that though  )

Christ on a bike! We are now THREE hours' into the great NW app's super duper 'snow event' and, blow me down with a feather, there's been absolutely f-all! Not a solitary flake; nae even a random drop of drizzle... Utter, utter crap! And that's me being objective!

Saddest thing for me is, I went for my Sunday morning run as usual. When I got home my 2 daughters (5 and 3) were waiting by the back door in their hat, gloves and coat full of excitement. My youngest has never seen snow on the ground.
My wife had got various messages from friends in London full of videos of heavy snow and assumed it was about to start here given we are only 15 miles further East.

To see the excitement fade away as the small amount of snow at the start quickly faded to sleet and then rain. Ouch

Reminds me of the slider lows in 2010 which all missed me by about 10 miles. Ended up with 1cm that year, still annoyed about it. Always goes as far North as Ipswich then pivots and moves south, giving me nothing.

I think around the North M25 section could take a hit too, hopefully at least a dusting further south than that.?

I hope that areas that didn't see a covering (East Kent, South Essex), or just a patchy covering (here) earlier, might do better out of Round II. A few years ago on a certain other weather website I won't name, someone opined that it's rare in lowland Britain to see settling/accumulating snow in the heart of the day, defined as 11am - 3pm - it's hard to argue with this. Apart from the warm sector out to the East some of us were unlucky with the timing of the precipitation, perhaps darkness will be our friend tonight.

Not sure what’s worse - watching it pass so closely as snow or have it hit you and rain?

Both feel bad I only got the slightest dusting in 2018 when 10 miles up the road had loads, and many times like today just too marginal.

It's what comes with living on the coast... I just wished it wasn't!

Its picking up here again now as temps have dropped   with no melting so will accumulate much better.
