Similar, looks like it's starting again - admittedly very light - but there's a clear thaw underway.

Where are you in the chilterns  ...... sounds v odd that nothing has stuck ?

Sorry should of said it has stuck. I'm in Aylesbury. We had about 4cm i would say? But a few miles up the road in the hills..

They had 10cm easily.

Really annoying it snowed very heavily from 9am -10.30 and got a good covering but its been snowing ever since but not adding to total. Just melting.

The snow is much heavier now, a mix of fine stuff/soft hail and larger flakes that are settling nicely.

Well it was good while it lasted stopped bowing now in Walthamstow & and I can now hear the dripping of the snow as it melts. Managed to take some nice snowflake pictures so amazing natures beauty. Shame that not everyone saw the snow.

Ahhhh. The sound of cold rain. What an utter load of crud today has been. Utterly awful. Make it about 8/9 events missed out on now. When will we get a break in east kent?

SWF, radar has been showing PPN for ages but nothing fell.
I've just had about a minute of what I call "trying to snow".

Sadly this was always going to a rain event for immediate coastal areas.  Here in Clacton we've had a few drips of rain so far, radar not looking anywhere near as good as it did a couple of hours ago.  Expecting moderate rain and some sleet, possibly back edge snow but little to no accumulation.

To everyone to my west that's had settling snow - well done

If anyone in the SE that’s seeing rain wonders if elevation would have helped...don’t worry it wouldn’t. I’ve been told it’s raining on the north Downs at 600ft asl ?‍♂️

But as expected london mainly the most easterly point of good accumulation- some models picked up in this very well.

Fingers crossed, there still appears to be northward momentum of this. I’m surprised it has made it this far, a good chance of being under this when it pivots back south so a chance of a proper covering.

London getting some heavy snow waiting for the pivot to produce the Snow here that the Met Office expected so far it has actually gone to their expectation Yesterday and Kent looks like on that it could get some Hours of snow.

Generally bad always here except for one of two rare events now and again. Global warming and almost always anomalous high sea temperature moderates weather way too much here now. Father in law near Leicester, hammering down with snow. Unless very cold eastern Europe temps creep across from the East any events like this are best towards midlands
