The front is definifely slowing down

To do with it pivoting ....the momentum is much more sw/ne than the W/e from earlier .....it may well become s/n shortly ....that means somewhere will have lots more snow than others

Starting to swing now, some of those in the Midlands are going to get an absolute pasting from this.

Thin layer of snow in West London, nothing special but nice to see.

Yep, the lucky beggars.  Our turn will come to be in the sweet spot and hopefully this winter!

3.8c here now. I see the radar precip type is showing show blobs just inland, but local stations show dew points are widely above freezing now so don’t believe everything you see on them!

Yes quite alarming rise in Temps now so agree with the 2nd shot this evening when it all falls away SE, although as the Occlusion and Vorticity wanes then it breaks up to snizzle by that stage anway

7am Temp was -3.3c

8am Temp was -2.8c

9am Temp was -2.1c

10am Temp was -0.3c

Rapidly rising now

Worst place in the UK for snow ??‍♂️

Temperature risen from -0.5 at 9am to 0.4 at 10am here in Locksbottom.need that rise in temperature to halt otherwise we could be looking at a slushy mess or even just sleet here at this rate!!Could come down to elevation again round here!

lovely to see a lot have already had some snow and good luck to everyone on SE THREAD.

keep sending the pictures and videos through ❄️

stay safe

Morning. Same here. Got up to a frost -1 i think it was. Im gutted weve missed out again. I was reading yesterday about some signs of the beast but even the beast doesn't always deliver snow for Eastbourne of it comes off at all. Do you own a weather station or do you use the ones in Eastbourne?

i use 2 online that are based in ratton and willingdon so not that far away from me really. just had a rain/sleet grauple shower and it brought the temp down to 3.6 from a high of 4.2
The louds are breaking up a bit too now. ooh dearly me!!

Looking at the radar it looks to be back-building just a little bit? Maybe I'm kidding myself into seeing what I want to see! Was definitely expecting it to have stopped in Reading but seems to keep going
