Locking towards the downs from Ringmer  looks like the frontal cloud gathering  looks quite ominous in a good way.getting darker after a great sunrise.

I still don’t trust the apps. It’s nice to see but for me the radar is what we wanna look at! Seems to be coming for 11/12pm into kent. But let’s see! ??

I agree but also looking at the movement’s on the radar I think most areas in Kent apart from Far East will be in with a good shout today and might see more than expected, especially since last night anyway. Getting a 2nd hit later would be amazing as well

Agree. I think if your 10/15 miles away from south coast you are ok. But who knows!

Morning all!

very cold out there! I’m a bit more hopeful this morning after last night it seemed the naughty Chilterns had stolen my sweet spot!!

looking at the radar I can’t see how we won’t get snow, the temps are good and I don’t think it’s far away!!

tell me it’s going to be ok!!???

temp -1.4

dp -2.1

Amazing red sunrise here !!

Upgrades for Kent keeping coming and was not expected over night by myself, also forecast a few hours of snow 11pm to 1am as well, keep this up and I might be one very happy man later ! The missus on the other hand has to work so is not as excited !!

Edit... the old man lives in Frome Somerset and is saying they have some very heavy snow there right now accumulating fast as well

We have friends who live in Frome too and the video they’ve posted this morning of the snow is just amazing!

My first thought, on looking out the window, was yippee, it's snowed. But, alas, tis only rime. I only wish I'd realised that before the Shakin' Stevens earworm set in!

I'm 5 miles from the sea in Fareham and it's a snow/rain event so far - when the intensity is good it snows, but rain otherwise. Bodes well for those a little further inland.

Gorgeous sunrise in Crowborough too, can’t wait for the snow to start, this is my third January living here and with 186m elevation I’ve been dying to see what difference that makes to how much snow we will get. This is first proper snow event since we’ve been here.  So excited!!!

Snow should be starting any minute in Reading, I think I’m in a decent spot today, fingers crossed.

Not a bad sunrise too!

Well, latest bbc graphic on tv forecast for london itself is pretty pessimistic to say the least - a thin band of mostly rain as it hits london. Couldnt be more different than met o's 2 hours of heavy snow and many more hours of light snow. I know who i want to be right!

Still feeling uneasy for London as some signs the ppn could break up and the heavy snow could go around us (harmonie)

Most will see falling snow today though finally ❄️
