What do you recon in terms of longevity and amounts for Walthamstow/Chingford ?
METO have a couple of hrs light snow and then sleet however BBC going for 3hrs of heavy and 5hrs of light!

I always say get up to Epping Forest, High Beach or another slope in the forest with decent elevation. I had good tobogganing up there last Saturday morning, before it all went.

Dunno, BBC 2328 forecast is awesome for us. We shall see!

High Beach, the one that slopes down from the Kings Oak pub. Really slidey!

Couldn’t agree more, looks pretty pants to be honest for the far south and east of the region. I’m far from convinced I’ll see any snow falling never mind settling. Maybe the best chance later in the day after the pivot but looks pretty patchy and light at best by then.

Mean while just been in the Midlands thread and they are celebrating. Can't blame them. Nether expected anything other than sleet where I am, now looks more like rain however.

It’s quite incredible that most other times we are crying out for a northern correction, now we have one, it’s gone too far the wrong way (for us south of the Thames at least)

I suspect that northwards model push and latest radar is  making things less likely for snow over far southern areas. My apps have gone for a far heavier sleet event

Thanks , Lots can change and will for better or for worse , I have my father in law living with us for the last 6 months ( lived in Australia last 40 years )  and he has been laughing every time I suggest snow could happen . I just want a little bit to fall and settle just so I can say , ner ner ner ner ner , and a bit more under my breath

Still a miserable amount of snow as far as I am concerned.

It's still going north, at this rate, Scotland will be in the firing line

For me 1-2 hours of probably of wet snow between 9-10 am followed by a wait for the fading occlusion to drift south and then minimal. Met office app suggests sleet only too. Normally the worst case scenario is the real scenario in expected snowfalls. Probably get more on Monday when not mentioned
