Decent snow shower in Ely - heaviest for a couple of years, has brought 1-2cm patchy covering. Nice to see! Been a long wait!

Gone from 4 hours of heavy snow on MO to nothing....! Fuming

Can see the back building later on bringing the majority of the Snow, just noticed this but after this I won't Post unless you mention me as I said in my last post at least for today. If you want me to say what I think please mention me for some reason my old post was deleted but oh well.

Disappointing trend on MO for Orpington Kent on Sunday.

This morning heavy snow for several hours toped and tail with light snow.

Luncheon update made it all light snow.

Tea update ups the temperature and intermittent sleet.

METO predictive PPN on the app for tomorrow looks poor for here. Based on that I think areas like Newbury might do OK.

Shame it’s going to hit at the warmest part of the day. Had it been during the night I would have thought the totals would be quite different.

The south and north downs look like they could do very well based on this. Even shows mainly snow over London. It’s all to play for still and no doubt big surprises will happen both good and bad

I just got excited over 30 seconds of white stuff falling from the sky.... I really do need to see some proper snow!

Looks like it’s fizzling out by the time it reaches the South East looking at the met office precipitation output.

I was just talking about this is the North American thread . I’ve spent some time near here and when the lake effect snows get going it’s insane. The Great Lakes are only 3% frozen at the moment (a record minimum) and as a result lake effect snow will be worse than usual due to more warm water available.

They don't expect it to make it past the Chilterns, however if they do, some people will get a few flakes we of the showers.

What the heck?!? MetO gave me 11 hours of heavy/light snow symbols an hour ago, now I have a solitary snowflake and light sleet for 3 hours?!

I might be in my early forties but feel like throwing a major tantrum!!!
