Turning into a slush fest here now, as the rain continues, abandoned going to local hilly common to go sledging, as it would just be a slushy mud fest. Built a small snow man instead.

Yh had a feeling Heybridge, Danbury etc would do ok out of this, my sweet spot would have been Braintree through Bury St Edmonds to west of Norwich so nice to see at least walkable crunchy snow pics coming in from there but certainly no Amber warning needed for this event - Another Fail for the Met Office

Light to moderate snow in Colchester, just a tad over half inch of snow laying.

Agree was bizarre they even issued it...the front was always going to move across the region very quickly anyway

Woohooo, woken up to see some accumulations of rain, 2 years and waiting to see a single flake. Fantastic climate we have these days

Exactly 1.5inches here, heavier stuff now starting..   first snow for 3 or 4 years.

But, I don't want to be able to see the tops of the grass blades poking out!!

Nice to see TEITS posting on the MOD though, much prefer his analysis to some of the hyperbole we've had to endure lately.

The show appears to be over now sadly, the snow has turned to rain.

We have a covering on all surfaces and I’ve seen the biggest flakes for years so I’m content for now.

Lets hope something more significant arrives during the remainder of winter

Gunna have a read of my book and post exerts and charts in here to dream about what winters we used to have. Hopefully it gives hope of what can happen and what winters used to be like.
