Temperature is steadily rising in St Leonards, fell to 2.8c earlier, but has gradually risen and is now at 3.7 so I'm really not too hopeful here.

Considering a move to Lapland...or Madrid!

Hmmm. Barely below freezing. For best chances you would want to see closer to -5°C over France before the channel modifies the air.

Temps are colder in northern France than expected.

Clear skies here now, down to -2c in Huntingdon. Just waiting for the ice on the car to defrost to drive home.

Tomorrow feels like a low risk of a short spell of disruptive weather as a band of heavy rain turns to snow on its leading edge. The further east will see more of this fall as snow as the mild sector mixes out. I can understand the warnings as any snowfall could be very heavy.

I would love for even a brief period of lying snow here so I can take my son out into the garden. Luckily his nursery took him and his bubble out in early December.

All gritted and read here in colchester.

That's a massive band!

Let's see how this chance goes...

Out of self isolation.

So my daily exercise maybe sledging tomorrow?

What station are you using?

I'm between Benfleet & Hadleigh and it's 0.1c here, with similar temps shown from other local stations

?? Would love to take my 10 month old for some essential sledging and first sight of snow at 7am, think the wife would rather a lay in! Fingers crossed for our area mate. Very long overdue, even to see a flake!

The temps do often go up a bit as the front moves in.

Then comes evaporative cooling and they go down x

after nearly 10 years of getting up at silly o'clock when working shift, i am not setting my alarm. just will see what it is like in the morning and no expectations.

word for 2021 other than 'unprecedented, the new norm, vaccine, variant and covid' has to be 'unexceptional'

Thanks EE, was using Wunderground just on the other side of the 127 as my weather station is still packed up in a box after moving and I can’t find it! Showing 0c and 0c now ??
