Dew point around 2 in Southend. Still time to hit the GFS 7pm deadline although there’s currently no PPN falling.

Looking positive for us in these parts Steve. What elevation are we looking at needing to see snow do you think?

You live on a mountain relative to me Tom! Thames floodplain checking in 5m (16ft).

Hi Daniel,

Yes the downside of living in an Inner London Borough!!

I've lost half my height, since I moved back to Lee, from living with my Children in Chislehurst, about 3 miles to the S.E.

Ouch!!

Regards,

Tom.

Light at the end of this grey drizzly cold. Temps up to 9C. By the weekend. With Sunshine we hope. Take care everyone, cheers and good health. Time for a snifter.

This profile still favours a mid-Kent > East Sussex Streamer, IMO.

Too much North in the flow, for a Thames Streamer.

Where are you seeing temps of 9? Current forecast is for a high of 4 at your location for Saturday, might be some sunshine though.

Yeh you almost need a dead easterly for a good Thames streamer.. A rare beast

Yes Luke and specifically an E.N.E flow, as the air stays in contact with a source of moisture for longer.

E.G. Thames Estuary/Southern North Sea,

A direct Easterly has a very short Sea Track.

Regards,

Tom.

Think we got a E.S.E flow right now, usually if theres any south motion to an easterly it kills of most peoples chances of snow expect for those in kent, bit like the over hyped beast from the east a few years ago

Just drove home from East Grinstead to Hayward’s Heath. The only stronger burst of precipitation I encountered was sleety rain. It’s a start I guess
