Interesting the fact that the Met Office have Changed Direction and are Ramping more than the BBC they usually wait until a few Days before could be a sign that within the Next Week we will have a High Snow Chance Compared To Before so hopefully.

Are you referring to the front heading south end of the week? Looks like it hits the East Anglia / South east snow shield and heads south west ...plenty of tine for it to change though

Rain turning to sleet in the heavier bursts now here in Heybridge, and I’m right at sea level so maybe that will bode well for higher parts overnight ??‍♂️

I can't tell, but I think it's all still rain here.

Dew point around 2 in Southend. Still time to hit the GFS 7pm deadline although there’s currently no PPN falling.

Orpington Kent. 1c drop since 3.30 with  1.4c drop on DP.

Air drying out and getting colder.  Just think we have a little too much to do

Is it lamp post watching time yet? Or should I not bother? Be nice to go to bed and wake to blanket of white stuff, but I have a feeling it’s gonna be a no? ❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️⛄⛄⛄

Classic case of dropping temps and dp’s but precipitation disappearing up here in Suffolk. I’d imagine they go hand in hand, drier air equals lower dp’s. Looks like the Kent lot might be good for later tonight with a little elevation.

Bekijk waar het de komende 3 uur en 24 uur regent in Nederland

Thanks matt,

I was about to post up that link to the Dutch Radar, a useful tool when we have Weather coming from the North Sea.

As your elevation could be important Tonight, below is another useful link:

Elevation finder in UK (routecalculator.co.uk)

Quite a few Members have their height above sea level, in their profiles.

Some of us really shouldn't have bothered though at 134.5 Feet!! How embarrassing. Lol

Regards,

Tom.

22.6mm of rain since midnight...if that went with the rough 1mm of rain = 1cm of snow I’d have been having a much better Monday

Temp in Locksbottom dropped to 1.5 but probably due to the sky clearing as can see a lot of stars in the sky atm.no idea what the DP is here(Biggin hill dp now 1).They may be in with a chance in the early hours of some wintry hazards but not here.

Oh to be there at the moment with no virus around, whatever the weather, nice lunch and a pint in The Nelson, then a stroll along to the Lifeboat station, wave at someone in Walberswick and back again.

Not normal up there as so few people about. I remember it when my mum moved there in the 1960’s.  So much nicer. Yet another place that is a victim of its own success.

Use to like to get in the sea knowing what the tide was doing. Up coast or down? So if down coast saunter up to the pier, looking a hero with my trunks on and gut held in. Then into the sea to look really cool as the tide took you down the coast so I could get out about Gun Hill. Not exactly exhausting.  Happy memories.

I like to mock myself as everyone else probably did.

Is the precipitation meant to beef up as we head further into the evening, nothing to shout about on the radar atm?

Think it’s time for a hot chocolate while I await the ECM and the messages of BOOM to appear on the mod thread
