    Thats a West Country /Cotswolds classic 🙂

London and the south east getting in on the action as well!

Lincolnshire has had barely anything from this cold spell a few dustings that’s about it if the east is to get anything significant it needs to be a good easterly dragging moisture off of a relatively warm North Sea

Another day, another 2 degree rain. I lost count of them. It's an absolute joke. 20 years ago this would have been all snow.   What a waste. So frustrating after a frustrating year and on to

I have to disagree, I think the thread is great, just people discussing what they see based on the  charts generated by computer weather modelling. Not sure what else is going on, just need to remember that it’s the weather that actually materialises on any given day, forecast or predictions are just that, - may or may not happen, I can’t see evidence of anyone being ‘taken in’ by them.......?

Traffic is gridlocked in parts of County Durham with delays of up to 1hr 30 after heavy snow overnight

The A1 between J59 (Aycliffe) and J63 (Chester-Le-Street) has had an average speed of 10mph since 05:55

Some posts have been removed because again a small minority seem intent on having a dig at members in the model thread.

Please stop this now and concentrate on the weather. It's becoming tiresome and is unpleasant.

    Thank you.

Back to the weaather and for Snow chances it really could go either way in the SSW and really it is just a case of model watching.

Can't see anything cold on the horizon, even post ten days.

Transient heights followed by continuous feed of low pressures piling in from the invigorated jet stream which the SSW looks to have set in motion by bringing in cold to the States.

That's takes us to the end of Jan. February who knows.

Yes it looks like any deep cold from vortex displacement will be in the States and deepest Europe. The cold in the US will likely fire up the jet bringing us the usual winter fayre of mild wind and rain for the foreseeable. 😟

JMA explains it perfectly.  Very good outlook if you like warm temps and rain.

The warmth I could handle but the rainfall I couldn’t . The fields are all under water around here already without adding to it.
