So how did we do tonight?

Here in Northampton, it was a case of 'same old story' I'm afraid. Moderate to heavy rain for 2 hours. Not even a hint of sleet, despite the temperature hovering around 1c. My Mum sent me a video of where she lives in Leicester, and it was chucking it down with snow, earlier.  They're only 30 miles North, at the same elevation ?‍♂️

I'm not even confident about Sunday either. We'll miss out on it A dejected snow lover tonight, no question.

None of the models had much if any accumulation tonight but it looks like some parts of the Midlands got a good dumping.

well after all that, we got the standard 1/2cm...will this never end

Wait, you're about 20 miles away from me, and you managed a few cm's?! How in the hell did we not even get sleet here Northampton has its own climate, i'm not even joking at this point.

Got approx 4cm in about 90 minutes so not too bad. Came down very, very heavy at one point

To be fair living in Stoke all my life I wouldn't call 4 or 5 cm a good dumping mate. Lol.

6 foot drifts top of Kidsgrove bank was good. Shows how bad this Country has become lol

Having grown up in London, 1cm of snow is Narnia to me!

Same story here near Loughborough, this winter is turning into a damp squib. Let’s hope there’s a sting in the tail??

Loughborough didn't get snow either?! Quite surprised by that. At least you understand what it feels like to miss out, Tim

Got a decent covering here in Leicester. Large flakes which had no issue sticking to surfaces.

Pretty much what it looked like round here too!  Think there was a fine balance between snow and rain though - 8 miles east and north seems as though they only had rain

I know exactly what you mean it’s frustrating we get snow but it just melts straight away here it has done that except today all the other snow fall we had this winter didn’t last more than half an hour to an hour today it stopped snowing now it’s all icy for once the falling snow didn’t disappear after an hour.

Looks like the models are coming to a consensus on Sunday’s snow risk, with the northern limit being around Birmingham to south Staffordshire. A few cm of snow for the south and central Midlands. Dry for the north Midlands.  Could still shift a little either way though.

A dusting of fresh snow just now with more snow showers moving in from the West.
