I’m currently working between Birmingham and Lichfield, all I’ve encountered so far are patches of drizzle.

A lot less snow on the ground closer to Lichfield too.

Had drizzle on and off this morning with a little thaw even though there was nothing in radar. Had slightly heavier precipitation which did show on the radar and it snowed lightly for 10 minutes. We just need some precipitation  to move south.

I’m nearly back in Birmingham now, still just light rain and drizzle.

Driving home soon where I’m sure I’ll find that Gornal has shrouded itself in the comfort of it’s own cloud again.

Drizzle this morning leading to a slight thaw, but got a little heavier and now its been snowing for around 30 - 45 mins, alternating between light and moderate mostly with just the odd brief heavier burst. Strange as not much is showing on radar.

Sleety snow coming down in Bewdley now. Not settling and very wet stuff, but I'm actually losing count of the number of snowfalls in this spell! Must be half a dozen now, if you count the very light ones.

Thoroughly miserable in Birmingham city centre, rain becoming moderate and feels raw.

Looking forward to getting home and a hot mug of tea!

Edit: except it’s just turned to snow!

Absolutely nothing here in Northampton, again. I've just resigned myself to the fact we aren't going to see any snow for this current cold spell

Decent cold spell with at least 7, little to moderate snowfalls over the last 2 weeks. Hopefully there will be a freeze that will be more wide spread for others to enjoy later this month and into Feb and maybe even March.

Something like this, which is from a friend in Norway this morning.

This stuff is so light it’s not even showing on the radar. Still lots of snow cover.

Looks very cold tonight. One last wintry walk tomorrow before the mild rubbish moves in. 2 weeks of snow cover isn’t bad going!

Now back to sleety drizzle. Most of the snow has thawed round here now except for patches on lawns and some rooftops anyway with everything just wet. Oh well hopefully more opportunities to come over the  coming weeks.

As the boundary between north and south, that sounds very nice for the Midlands

Snow cover from this morning mostly gone now, a very quick thaw considering its the depths of winter and there has been no sun and the temp has only risen a degree or so since dawn. But there have been bits of light snow on and off last couple of hours mixed with sleety drizzle, but not sticking at all even when its all snow. Ground is sodden again, it will need to get much heavier if the temp/dp don't drop. But seems slightly more marginal for snow falling than yesterday evening when we had hours on end of horrid cold drizzle at temps barely above freezing.
