Im not sure if it’s snowing or if someone is just overhead with a giant sieve and a megabag of icing sugar.

Such teeny, teeny, tiny flakes, and very glittery when they’ve settled.

At this point it doesn’t look particularly encouraging given that everything looks like it is fizzling out as it approaches the Midlands?

Yep  we shall see   some have seen snow again however  so must not complain

Indeed not sure I see much making it our way it's just decaying so fast.

Unless I am missing something about Fridays expected event looks abit benign.

Amazing description Fizz.

Just been out and although incredibly slight it is still putting down a layer.

Hardly any wind at all, and when the slightest breeze  comes along, it reminds me more of fog approaching.

(or very fine drifting snow).   Really odd - It is truly the fairy crystal time.

Also notice that it shows the breeze is from the SSE!???

Its like diamond dust. very fine snow flakes when temps are extremely low.

Google description..

a type of precipitation composed of slowly falling, very small, unbranched crystals of ice which often seem to float in the air; it may fall from a high cloud or from a cloudless sky, it usually occurs under frosty weather conditions (under very low air temperatures

West Midlands  is one of the better regions for snow   considering our climate  we don't do too bad

Well, compared to where I grew up in London, this place is Narnia. It feels like this is my reward for 30 years of snowless and frost free winters!

Nothing falling in Stratford, and the radar doesn't look promising.

When I looked at some that were falling here earlier (shoved a black t-shirt out the window to 'catch' a few), they were flat hexagonal shaped plates about 2-3mm in size, not spiky at all, quite literally ice glitter.
