Just nipped up top of Ball Green to get some Electricity, hoping to do so before the 'rain' came in, and got absolutely pelted with hail.

Moderate rain here which is v slowly turning sleety and hopefully to snow by late afternoon/evening. Temp has dropped from 5c to 2.8c in the last hour.

Looking forward to the upcoming cold spell.

Pity alot of us seem to be in the wrong place for snow chances.

Nevermind a few crisp mornings and nice frosts will do me.

Anything else will be a bonus.

This is probably the best potential cold spell for a few years now, last year I never seen a flake (maybe a slushy one at 1am under the lamppost if I remember) but so far this year as delivered for most and like you said this cold spell looks good, with ice days projected, but the snowfall is a guessing game atm ....ENJOY ALL

If the cold extends past 5 days or so then there's now way anyone can discount the possiblity of snow across the whole of the Midlands.

Sleetyness is slowly changing to a larger snow to rain ratio.  Temps are beginning to plummet now too.

Currently everything that can be crossed, is crossed, in the hope well get a bit of proper snow tonight.

Gfs looks fantastic for the midlands tomorrow night into monday!!

Looks like it increases the risk of a few showers tomorrow but I still think it will be mainly Monday to Wednesday.
