Tomorrow looks like a wet sleety mess, falling on warm ground in marginal conditions favourable to the heavy PPN. Somewhere in the very far western tip might do well, Snowdonia etc - but I can't see much if any settling snow on lower ground North or east of Worcester.

MO have jumped the gun using broad brush warnings for 3 entire days next week - can't see any of it. I expect those to be removed too. It's hilarious to see how they have reacted since their failings last weekend.

Let's see where the next chase takes us. Next weekend/week is over IMO.

They'll be moved just to cover NE areas, yes feel that EC will be a new trend, expect GFS to slowly trend that way, starting with 00Z

ICON goes much further north tomorrow with the heaviest precipitation/snow reaching the far north of the region

Still has very little accumulation. Not heavy enough to overcome warm surface temperatures.

MetOffice precip chart showing Birmingham being the best place to be (assuming conditions are favourable). A brummie is never more than a couple of miles away from 200m+.

That’s very true. A half a mile away from me is 230m asl at Warley Woods

Flood risk tomorrow seems relatively high tomorrow across some areas, already a number of flood warnings covering the Severn and Avon. I personally think it warrants a rain warning.

In most winters I'd say it doesn't feel anywhere near cold enough for snow tomorrow, but this is the winter where it can snow and stick after being 10C and torrential rain a couple of hours earlier, and also drizzle at 1C for hours on end having been -6C that morning. And produce a decent snowfall when it was widely forecast to be at least 50 miles south. So it could do anything.

Well, it has reached here and it's just pure rain. Expected that at this stage, though. Interestingly, a few forecasts are saying that it will start to turn more to snow at around 10am. I hope so! Then it becomes a question of how long we can get the band to stick around for. I'm not expecting any accumulations, but seeing an hour or 2 of snow falling at some point today would be a bonus!

I don't think this much will settle, but this is what the ECM is going for....

That would give us 6-7cm here! As much as we had last weekend highly doubtful, but we can hope

The dew point is already down to 1 degree here in Coventry and it looks sleety.. I think the heavy rain has brought the temp down.

Promising sign!! The dew here is currently around 1.8c but i'm hoping that will drop as thr morning goes on. The rain wasn't forecast to start turning wintry here for another few hours anyway, so i'll probably check it again after 9am.

Snowing in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent  Front looks further north than modelled and the cold air must be undercutting it quickly if it’s already turned to snow here.
