Hopefully more chances to come

Colder again February last I looked.

I’m walking down the canal towards Stone. Not had to go far to find today’s heavier snow and more lying snow from yesterday. It’s just as it hits Stoke-on-Trent that it’s giving up.

Snow at last in Belper. Lots of tiny flakes but settling nicely. Looks very powdery. Fingers crossed it continues.

Almost a shame that Monday's system is modelled to bring patchy rain. If it was heavier, it would sure be snow from evaporative cooling due to entrenched cold.

Only got to Barlaston so far and it’s chucking it down.

Most of the ~1cm snow we got down here in Evesham has melted now.   Still, that's the most we've had since 2018's infamous "Beast"!

And still a chance of another dusting tonight

Still got this snizzle here. Not really doing anything except dampening the areas where the snow as been cleared.

But what a morning. Still not near the levels of 3 years ago in my location, but still really good. 3 inches up here in Gornal I reckon as an estimate.

I don't see the precipitation coming back at us now...but what does it matter? Such such relief to finally get a couple of decent snowfalls in this winter.

I hope those places experiencing rain south and east of London get to join in next month. Maybe their biggest prize is saving itself up for them and they'll end up shaming us all 1987 style!

Funny you should say that, I was just on the models thread and I believe some models are now going for a slider with snow.

Arpege I believe is going for this.

Stopped here about half an hour ago. Measured at 7.5cms.

Have a video of the garden but it is too large to load.

Temperature crept up to 1.0C now, but no real dripping just the deep stuff on the branches and leaves are dropping off.

It would seem that the slack area of low pressure is slipping SE over us now.

Winds (what there are) should pick up from the north soon.

Heavy snow stopped now after leaving about 6-7cm. Hopefully the stuff over Uttoxeter coming my way on the way south later.
