All radars are lying as you are saying, even the v8 radar is struggling to show precipitation, it’s snowing here and it isn’t showing on this one either.

The pivot looks ideal for Nottingham , Derby , Tamworth , Burton , Matlock though in this region of it can go wrong if will. Some light insignificant snow in the centre of Notts now

Well, for this part of the Midlands, this winter (so far) has been bloody brilliant. Several snow events, plenty of days of lying snow, and this current snowfall is the best so far. If I don't see another flake this winter then I'll be more than happy with what we've had here.

Looks like it's now stopped here. Is this thing actually going to push back or are we done for the day? Hoping for a good hard freeze tonight before the big melt by Tuesday.

Very light precipitation rarely shows on radars, that's probably why.

At one point I was under yellow with zero snow. I think the Easterly wind is pushing snow at ground level 5-10 my miles west of where the radar is showing it.

Also the radar may be reading the precip from a slight southerly angle, not from directly above, just a theory.

Never understood hate for snow that's coming from a driving commuter too, nothing more therapeutic than a walk in fresh falling snow.
