Looking like the pivot is starting to happen. 

 

If you look at the radar out towards Cambridge you can see that part of the band progressing faster now then it is over the midlands.

Also look at Liverpool, the band is now starting to push south there.

Maybe 10-20 miles further north progression, then a stall then starts to slip away south east.

There is a gap in the houses where i am and when there's an easterly the snow usually funnels through and blows quickly to the West into the back garden and this morning it wasn't doing that but now it is, so it should be a sign of that easterly wind.

Nothing here in South Derbyshire. The Radar is showing it as been snowing here since 08.50am.

Just had a big upgrade here on Metoffice. Gone from light snow for just an hour due, to now showing heavy snow for a few hours. Hmm.

Yes it's deffinately slowing down Infact I think it's just about stopped moving in the last 20 minutes or so, may have a tiny bit left in it but iv been expecting it to stop snowing for the last 40 minutes now for me and its just not left me. 

I'm 59msl and I can already see according to the odd drip on the curbs that its melting very slowly, but im very low ground. 

I'd expect it to stop snowing for an hr or 2 then start again this afternoon

Some of the heaviest snow here since dec 17 when we had over 10cms. At this rate if it stalls around coventry and east of bham then will we easily get 10cms!
