The direction that precip is moving is at least promising if it stays that way when it gets properly cold, next high ground in the direction its coming from is the Urals ☝️

The latest ukv run does show a band of rain now crossing the region from the east.By mid-night it looks like it's has mainly turned to snow as the cold finally kicks, in with dew points falling to 0c.

Just looking at the last ukv model that went out to monday and that's the day that currently looks the most promising for snow showers getting well inland for us.The easterly wind is still quite fresh and matches the fax quite well with signs of instability in the flow and it does indeed  shows convergence lines on that chart.

Tbh guys there isn't anything of note modeled for tomorrow but in this setup last minute disturbances can't be ruled out.

It'll be rain, with perhaps a bit of sleet mixed in.

Boo! Lol

Sorry Just being a realist! Haha. Bit annoyed at how bad the timing of this has been. If the and had been 3-4 hours behind, all of this rain we have had in Northampton, would have mostly been snow By the time the colder air is here, the band will have cleared away.

Oh well, that's the reality of the Weather. Never predictable and never going to please everybody!

Mon and Tues have streamer in this area on 18Z GFS, bit far north for most, but could be anywhere

Hi Apple, set up my 1st Station when I moved to Aldridge and just uploaded to Wunderground, set up the Davis September last year, The weather link live console that I use with it is great software which records all the data.

Thank you Phil:) Lots of useful information available and the UI is very easy to understand as well. Hopefully as you collect more data you'll be able to calculate the averages for Aldridge

That's even more east to west than February 2009 was...and I thought we couldn't a more perfect easterly stream than that!

But yes, you're right, these streams could align anywhere.

My eyes on Leicester and points east. That's the flatest and fastest route from the North Sea.

All I can hear on the window is rain... doh!. One day I will buy a house 800 meters up in the northern pennines just so i can get reliable snow. I will still come back here to cheer you all on

Not really though because I can't even afford one house. But one can dream !.

sleety mess here in Alton Staffs now... burst of heavy snow! Potential is there... suppose we will have to wait and see
