I'd be happy with that, as unlike Storm Emma, it covers all the Midlands even us near Cheshire.

If we are getting buried in the region I want the whole area covered not just a few

With a set up like this is our best chance of significant snowfall!

Can some bugger go and buy some loctite keep it where it is. .

You know how these type of events go, we all get excited, then it moves Southwards and misses us by a few miles

I’m expecting that to barely make it into the U.K. if at all. GFS is always too progressive with Atlantic frontal systems in these setups and the other models all keep it further west.

As forecast, temperature rising ahead of the front. Temp has risen to +3.3C.

I’m sure a piece of the front will break off and spiral over Stoke-On-Trent

How about that for a perfectly placed convergence zone on Monday?

Let’s hope it doesn’t move N!

MetO app has me down for 12 hours of snow on Monday.

It’ll probably move around a bit as winds fluctuate. Quite a few of the models do show persistent streamers across the North Midlands.

Monday certainly looks to have upgraded, along with Thurs/Fri also in terms of snow. Tonight though seems to have downgraded for my location, only showing an hour of snow now & turning later than forecast this morning. Think a covering at best now.

Put it this way, I certainly wouldn’t want to be in S or even C Midlands because of the frontal shield and wind direction. I’m feeling even here will be too far S come Tue/Wed as winds swing more emphatically ESE
