Despite what the radar is showing it is all rain here in Belper. Not sure what it's like on the hillier parts though.

Just drifting between sleet and wet snow here, been the same for 30 mins or so, no settling, temp down to 0.4C though.

Roofs and grass becoming white now. But it’s not the kind of settling that’s going to last.

Light Snow here not heavy enough to stick though, dew point needs to drop below 0 still at 0.5C.  Last week it was -1.9C

Back more to sleet:rain also here, must be in a milder pocket. Wind has got up a bit more also. Still fairly light though, can’t see this are getting much (if anything) from this. Bit too mild still, precipitation too light, the wrong time of day & saturated ground.

Lashing down with rain now. You get some bursts of snow here and there but overall its pretty grim.

Just rain now really in Hinckley, with the odd sleety moment, doesn't look great for turning. Hope those guys that didn't get much snow on Sunday get to see it if we don't today. Fingers crossed for you guys

Light-moderate snow here since about 0600. The lying snow line is around 260 mts with 0.5cm at 280 mts and just under 1cm at 340 mts.

This constant rain is tiresome. I've seen milk turn quicker than this!

I've given up on this one, today. Is supposed to be turning more to snow in around 30 mins but, right now, it's not even close. 2.5c with a dew of 2c. One for the bin at lower levels, i'm afraid.

Can't see this amounting to much today, just something to look out the window at.

Up at 04:00,Ground just wet. Temperature 4.1C.  DP 0.5C ,Heavy drizzle.

Went back to bed, after looking at my app. It said turning at 09:00..

Got up at 08;15. No snow flakes, but conservatory roof showing splodges with a temp of 2.1C, DP -0.3C

Now at 8:30 just seen first flakes in a heavier burst with a strong gust.  Temp now at 1.8C with a DP of -0.6C.

5 minutes later discrete flakes showing at 1.7C.    Looks to be setting in. Still fast moving wet flakes though.

I love to watch a rain to snow event.    --- Could snow for 6 hours.

It will need intensity to settle though.

MIA

Looking at the latest radar from an hour ago the blues are starting to fill in from rain to sleet like here and still waiting >>>>>> to ❄️❄️❄️❄️
