Still has very little accumulation. Not heavy enough to overcome warm surface temperatures.

Further north than modelled and it shows snow for Stoke and NW in next few hours. Just cold rain here. Ah well!

Maybe the slightest sign of some sleet in the rain here in Hinckley, and I mean slightly lol

Good old 'Inkleh! The extra elevation is probably helping. I think some parts of Hinckley are around 150m ASL.

Full snow here. Didn’t even start off as rain or sleet. Ground is too warm for it to settle though, I think.

Maybe the snow is too wet this won't be the powdery kind of snow we had last weekend, but more of a wet type. This a bonus for you though, you didn't even expect it to reach!

Upgrade from slightly sleet to a bit more sleety in Hinckley. The dw points must be getting lower and the cold air starting to under cut a bit more. Looks like the PPN front is stalling now from the radar

Or could just the the rain is heavier lol

Would need a high precipitation rate to overcome the warm ground temperatures and to be fair to the Met Office, the heaviest precipitation at the moment is around the areas covered by the warning even though the front/total area of precipitation is further north than modelled.  Just need that lot to turn to snow for areas further south to see some accumulations.

Full on rain here so far the snow would have to be very heavy to stick. Cold air starting to undercut so should turn soon. But a slushy mess looks most likely.

My worry is by the time it turns to snow the band will be on its way south!!so frustrating as its quite heavy here!!!

Cold air can’t be far away. It’s been snowing here for a few hours at 146m above sea level.
