Still recording -2,2C here at 09:30 after a minimum of -6.4C overnight.

Beautiful clear skies again now after some floating clouds rapidly moved down from the Cheshire gap. More cloud upstream with the possibility  of a light snow flurry.

Another 2.5cms fell last night and I have just recorded 9cms on my lawn after some compaction last night,  so I think we had about 10 cms of fallen snow. A really interesting event.

My app is forecasting light snow tomorrow morning but then rain later.

MIA

ECM and Aperge bring a snow risk mid week as Atlantic frontal systems move in.

Looks like we need a better approach angle really for much snow. Yesterday's arpege would have done, today its reduced snow to places further north mainly.

Low of -6C overnight, currently -2C. Can't beat the sight of snow and blue skies.

Gorgeous day out there, ive measured the 10cm on threshold too on the front lawn  which is amazing . Want to head up the hills for a proper snow experience but gonna let the roads settle (and an inevitable slight thaw) before braving it this afternoon. Parts of the black country are horrendous so want to let it all ease off.

Anyone's temp rapidly shoot up around 3am? We went from -4C to -1.5C and then went back down to -2.5C.

Almost perfect conditions following snowfall! A cold night, bright blue skies light winds and cold temperatures- although shame it’s not an ice day

This tweet gives a nice overview to the snow depths

Was there much snowfall yesterday in Shropshire and worcestershire? Just thinking about melt, and river levels further down towards Tewkesbury and Gloucester.

Over here, I got down to -5c with no snow cover.    Nearer to you, Wittering dropped to -7.3c.     Topcliffe looks to have been the coldest place in England with -9.2c     I don't see why you shouldn't have record at least -8c over snow

Surprised you didn't get any Andy, we had a 5cm's ish in the morning, with a bit of melt by the end of the day. Pershore dropped to -7.1c in the end.

coldest last night was -3.5c     so not overly cold   now its 0.4c       expecting melt today.

me too, but still frozen here for now, biggest temp rise would be any cloud, especially daytime

Aperge 6z again still showing the risk of some sleet and snow as fronts push in this week. I think it will probably be patchy and transient. Maybe a bit more substantial over the hills.

11cm here on South Staffs/Shropshire border. Local river Worfe feeds the Severn near Bridgnorth. Heard reports of 13cm in nearby Telford.
