Snowing moderately here again, with decent size flakes! For the first time today though, the radar is reflecting what it actually falling Hoping for another hour of this, before the band slips away Southwards.

You got anything falling @MattStoke, flurries following main band, perhaps so light though, as nothing falling

Was looking at that as some light precip developing along a line and with the precip set to move south east when it finally clears it would head back across most of the midlands

Ah nuts! Dying a death round Brum now. Holes everywhere

Yeah, this evenings snow seems to have been a bit more hit and miss to be honest, a little top up here but nothing massively to shout about, was snowing sideways. Still 8cm today; not bad!

Nope. Not a flake since the Amber warning was issued. In fact, the sky is clearing.

Was great here overall after slow start many hours of falling snow. Fair amount on the ground.

Best we have seen for many years have a good night all.

Be safe,  not looking forwards to roads tomorrow morning.

Down to very thin snizzle here now. I reckon we had another cm or two, replacing that which melted slightly during the day, as the depth is 7 cm -- identical with the first lot. Temperature dead on freezing.

All finished here.

Well, that was a really decent event today.

4th only to December 2017, March 2018 and the daddy of them all, March 2013 since I moved to Upper Gornal in 2012.

So yeah, what can I say?

Job done and a long wait well rewarded.

Front clearing  now   temps will start to fall  and will probably be like a glass bottle in the morning   just under 13 cm here    a very good event

might take a drive up through upper gornal to look at what we could've had and get some good black country snowy pics in the morn!

Could be as much as that today easily up in Burbage. Good covering!

starting to finish here now, we've had around 8cm, so it's been great considering yesterday afternoon we had practically no chance

Given that was at britania fields before this evenings snow id say we have had 7/8cms.

Pretty much stopped here too.

Took this pic earlier - knew there was a reason I left my Christmas garden lights up

Front of house also not bad  seeing as the road is a bus route and was gritted at 3pm

Think that's our lot for Hinckely, think we have about 6cm prob. I will take that. Would have been nice to get the 12cm some others have had bit further north and east but we can't grumble at all

Nice heavy shower tonight to top up the trodden down bits of the day on the paths and recover some roads and we've topped out at about 8-9cm. Maybe 10cm in parts but I don't think we quite mad it. Right onto Spring...
